Terms of Use

These terms cover the MoneyLens expense tracker, including its paid subscriptions and 7-day introductory trial.

Effective date: July 10, 2026

The essentials

  • MoneyLens is a personal expense notebook and analysis tool.
  • It is not a bank, payment service, investment adviser, accountant, or financial institution.
  • Eligible plans include a 7-day trial. Apple charges the displayed price after the trial unless you cancel in time.
  • You manage billing, cancellation, and refunds through Apple.
  • You remain responsible for checking your records and making your own financial decisions.

1. Agreement

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) apply when you download, access, or use the MoneyLens app, website, and related support services (“MoneyLens” or the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

If you are not old enough to enter a binding contract where you live, you may use MoneyLens only with permission and supervision from a parent or legal guardian.

2. What MoneyLens is

MoneyLens is an expense tracker. Like a notebook, it helps you record, categorize, review, and understand your own spending. Features may include transaction import, on-device SMS parsing, budgets, reports, subscription reminders, optional Gmail receipt import, and optional merchant enrichment.

MoneyLens does not move or hold money. It is not a bank, neobank, lender, broker, money transmitter, payment processor, or other financial institution. It does not connect to bank accounts to initiate transfers.

3. No financial, investment, tax, or legal advice

MoneyLens provides organizational tools and automated estimates based on the data available to the app. It does not provide financial, investment, tax, accounting, or legal advice. Categories, forecasts, summaries, and automated suggestions may be incomplete or wrong.

Check important information against original receipts, statements, contracts, and professional advice before making a decision. You are responsible for your financial choices.

4. Your data and responsibilities

You keep ownership of the records and content you add to MoneyLens. You give MoneyLens permission to process that content only as needed to provide the features you choose, as explained in the Privacy Policy.

You agree to:

5. Subscriptions and prices

Paid MoneyLens features are offered as auto-renewing subscriptions through Apple's App Store. The available plan, billing period, local price, currency, taxes, and any introductory offer are shown on Apple's purchase screen before you confirm.

Apple processes the payment using the payment method attached to your Apple Account. MoneyLens does not receive or store your card number. Prices may change. A price change applies as permitted by Apple and applicable law, with any notice or consent Apple requires.

6. The 7-day trial

If Apple says you are eligible, a MoneyLens subscription plan may begin with a 7-day free trial. Trial eligibility is determined by Apple and may be limited to one introductory offer per subscription group or Apple Account.

When you start the trial, Apple requires a valid payment method for your Apple Account. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, Apple automatically charges the subscription price shown when you confirmed the purchase. The subscription then renews for the selected billing period until canceled.

Cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends to avoid the first charge. For later renewals, cancel before the renewal date shown by Apple. Deleting MoneyLens does not cancel a subscription.

7. Renewal, cancellation, restore, and refunds

8. Availability and changes

We work to keep MoneyLens available, but the Service may be interrupted by device limits, operating-system changes, provider outages, maintenance, or events outside our control. Optional services such as Gmail, iCloud, Apple Maps, Brandfetch, or Tavily may change or stop working.

We may add, change, or remove features to maintain security, comply with law, or improve the Service. If a material change affects a paid subscription, we will provide notice when required by law or App Store rules.

9. Intellectual property

MoneyLens, including its software, design, trademarks, and original content, belongs to its provider and licensors. These Terms give you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the Service for its intended purpose. They do not transfer ownership of MoneyLens to you.

10. Third-party services

Some optional features use Apple, Google, Brandfetch, Tavily, Cloudflare, DataFast, Yandex, and other service providers. Their own terms and privacy policies apply to their services. MoneyLens is not responsible for a third party's independent service, account decision, outage, or policy.

11. Warranty disclaimer

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every purpose, or that every imported amount, category, merchant, forecast, or reminder will be accurate.

Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or consumer right that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MoneyLens and its provider will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, lost profits, lost savings, loss of data, or decisions made in reliance on an app output.

Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability for claims connected with the Service will not exceed the amount you paid for MoneyLens during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. This limit does not apply where prohibited by law, including liability that cannot legally be limited.

13. Suspension and termination

You may stop using MoneyLens at any time. You can delete app data using the steps in the Privacy Policy. Subscription cancellation is separate and must be completed through Apple.

We may suspend access if necessary to protect the Service, comply with law, or address serious misuse. We will use reasonable notice when the circumstances allow it.

14. Governing terms and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws that apply to the provider of MoneyLens, without overriding mandatory consumer protections in the country where you live. Before filing a formal claim, contact us so we can resolve the issue directly. You may still use any court, regulator, or consumer process available to you under mandatory law.

15. Apple terms

Your download and use of the iOS app are also subject to Apple's App Store terms and the Apple Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement where it applies. Apple is not responsible for MoneyLens support.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms when the Service or law changes. We will update the effective date and provide additional notice when required. If you continue using MoneyLens after revised Terms take effect, the revised Terms apply. If you do not agree, stop using the Service and cancel any active subscription through Apple.

17. General

If one part of these Terms is unenforceable, the remaining parts continue to apply. A delay in enforcing a term is not a waiver. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the agreement between you and MoneyLens about the Service, subject to any mandatory App Store or consumer terms.
